This past Saturday I had the awesome experience of going to my first ever drive-in movie! Now for everyone who doesn’t know me I am a huge sap; I I’ve seen and read every love story. Does this make me a huge nerd? Yes. Does this make me hard to date? yes; I would imagine it can add some pressure. Now I’ve become increasingly better at separating dramatized love in the movies and the real world love But this weekend my boyfriend gave me the perfect 50’s date (The only thing missing was the 50’s car). He recently bought him self a Jeep so we were able to take the top off, put some foam down in the back and have ourselves a romantic and comfy bed to watch the movie from; much better then an old car.The drive-in does say outside food and drinks are prohibited but we brought chips, popcorn, chocolate almonds…anything you can think of and it was completely fine. Nobody checks your car or anything along those lines; so load up because once you pay to get in you can stay for 1-3 movies depending on how you feel. Unfortunately for my perfect 50’s date I didn’t wear a poodle skirt as I would have looked ridicules and Adam wouldn’t have taken me anywhere. So instead I opted for a knotted black cotton maxi skirt with a light acid washed crop top and flip flops. It was both comfortable, on trend and oh so cute. If any of you Vancouverites are also looking to flash back to the 1950’s check out twilight drive-in, located in Langley. Hope you all had as fantastic a weekend as I did.
